Audrey Petersen grew up in Wellington and her uncle started coaching her at the age of 6, but she only started playing at club and provincial level when she was 27 |
Beth Cartledge
Beth Cartledge grew up in Cape Town but started playing cricket at the age of 21, while living in the UK. She has played for both Coronations and Boland since 2002 |
Eloise Koch
Eloise Koch grew up in Bethal, Mpumalanga and played cricket with her brothers from age 6. She started playing club cricket at age 33 and now plays for Van der Stel Cricket Club |
Ilze Cronje
Ilze Cronje played cricket in the senior boys’ team during high school and after school she played for various clubs in Kimberley and Cape Town, and in England for Shepperton Cricket Club |
Jolene Hendricks
Jolene Hendricks grew up in Stellenbosch and has played cricket at a school, club, and provincial level. She has played for the Boland Senior Ladies team since 2007 |
Nathanael Christiaans
Nathanael Christiaans started playing cricket at high school level with the boys. She started playing for Boland Women and Maties at age 16 and currently plays for Van Der Stel |
Ronél Pentz
Ronél Pentz was born in Malmesbury and moved to Paarl at age 7 where she started playing cricket in primary school. She has played for Boland since 2004 |
Simone Marais
Simone Marais played school cricket from age 14 and also played at club level when she was chosen for the Boland u19 team. She now plays for the Boland Seniors Team |
Stephanie Bester
Stephanie Bester was not a serious cricketer until she made it into the Boland U18 girls’ team in her matric year of high school. She now plays for Maties Cricket Club |
Sunette Loubser
Sunette Loubser is the captain of both the Boland Women’s team (since 2005) and of the South African Women’s team (since 2008). She has played cricket since she was 7 |
Veronique Whitebooi
Veronique Whitebooi grew up in Port Elizabeth and started playing cricket at age 14. After school she moved to the Boland and started playing for Boland Senior Women’s team in 2000 |

Yolandi Potgieter plays cricket for Maties and Boland and is currently studying Sport Science at the University of Stellenbosch. She has played cricket since she was 9 years old |
