André Louw started playing cricket while still at school, during which time he also played for Talpark Cricket Club in Windhoek, Namibia. His umpiring career began in October of 2003

Corne Valentine played cricket for Vredendal until 1995. He debuted as an umpire in October of 1996 and now umpires Boland club matches for the Premier and Country leagues

Deon van Kerwel played both Junior and Senior Cricket for Stellenbosch and Districts, as well as at a College level. He started umpiring in 1996 in the Boland region

Jacobus Van Eeden started umpiring in 1971 and was part of the inaugural meeting of the Boland Cricket Umpires in the same year. His first class debut was in 1981

Jurgen Hanekom started umpiring school cricket in 1999. Since starting as an umpired he has umpired a number of forms of the game including Women’s International Cricket and Club Cricket

Marais Erasmus played first class cricket for Boland from 1988 to 1997 and started umpiring in 2000. He was awarded Umpire of the Year in 2006, 2007, and 2009

Mervyn Julius made the switch from rugby refereeing to cricket umpiring in 2004 after injuring his knee. Since then he has umpired a number of different forms of the game

Ockert Erasmus debuted as an umpire in 2004 but his cricket playing days spanned over 25 years and began at a school level when he played for the U11 team

Quintis began umpiring in 1990 when he could not play cricket anymore but wanted to stay connected to the game. He has also been coaching and training since 1994

Simon Hugo has been an umpire since 1992. He has participated as umpire in a number of forms of cricket including as a third and TV umpire in SuperSport matches

Trevor Davy was born in Paarl and started playing cricket at a school level. After ending his playing career at Young People’s Cricket Club, he started umpiring in October 2000
