Background Information: Corne played cricket for Vredendal until 1995. In becoming an umpire he followed in his late father's footsteps who inspired him to become an umpire

- 2001 / 2002 – Umpired the match between Boland and Warwickshire at Boland Park, under the watchful eye of Bob Walmer as the coach of Warwickshire
