Background Information: Cricket started in the backyard with my dad and brother. No girls cricket were played in schools, so I played in the senior boys team for 2 years during high school. After school I played for various clubs in Kimberley and Cape Town as well as an opportunity to play cricket in England for Shepperton CC

Why do you love Cricket and why is it so important to you?
- I have always enjoyed playing team sports. The ‘innit-together’ factor of cricket makes me come back every season. Preseason fitness and then during cricket season, the highs and lows we have to experience and deal with as a team is quite something. Enjoyment is also important and it brings balance to my life. It’s not just all work, there must be some fun as well
