Brackenfell Cricket Club is situated and based in the heart of Brackenfell and forms part of the town sports complex. The cricket facilities include 1 field, 2 artificial nets and 2 turf nets. There are currently 3 senior teams, 1 women’s team and 1 social team. Brackenfell Cricket Club is one of the premier clubs in the Boland Cricket Union.

The Club was founded in 1977 by the Bassett Family. At one stage there were 6 Bassett brothers in the 1^{st team. The first cricket grounds, where matches were played, were on the grounds of the Everite factory. During the early Eighties the need for a larger area became vital, since the sport in the town became more popular and membership grew. The municipality at the time made the area available from which the club currently operates.}

Brackenfell Cricket Club is not just a sports club, it plays an important role in the town’s community and is the venue where great cricketers meet to play competitive cricket. The members of this cricket club have a great kinship with the club and each other. It offers an environment, where we play together, win together, loose together and, of course, socialise together.
